FAQ

When can I download SwiftyKafka?
Soon. We're polishing the first public build. Sign up for updates by emailing hello@swiftytool.com or watch the GitHub repo.
Will it work with Confluent Cloud / MSK / Aiven?
Yes. SwiftyKafka speaks the standard Kafka wire protocol, supports SASL/SSL and works with any cluster reachable over the network.
Why not use kafka-ui in a browser?
kafka-ui is great, but it's a JVM web app you have to host. SwiftyKafka is a single native macOS binary — open it, point it at a cluster, done.
Will it be free?
The first release will be free during early access. A subscription tier ("SwiftyKafka Max") may launch later for advanced features such as multi-cluster beyond two and team features. Early users will be offered a fair upgrade path.
Does it phone home?
No telemetry, no analytics. The only network traffic is the Kafka connections you yourself configure.
